Massimo Tavoni is Professor of Climate Change Economics at Politecnico di Milano and Director of the RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment, one of Europe’s leading centers for climate economics and policy research. He is an internationally recognized scholar in climate mitigation, integrated assessment modeling, energy transition pathways, and climate policy design. He has served as Lead Author for both the IPCC Fifth and Sixth Assessment Reports, contributing to the global scientific foundation for climate action. His research has been supported by the European Research Council, and he has advised major international organizations including the OECD, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and EBRD.

Prof. Dr. Zita Vale
Polytechnic of Porto, Portugal
Prof. Zita Vale is Full Professor at the Polytechnic of Porto (IPP), Portugal, where she leads the GECAD – Research Group on Intelligent Engineering and Computing for Advanced Innovation and Development. Her research focuses on artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, and knowledge engineering applied to power and energy systems. She has coordinated and participated in numerous national and international R&D projects in smart grids, energy communities, demand response, and electric mobility. Prof. Vale has published extensively in leading journals and conferences and is internationally recognized for her contributions to intelligent and decentralized decision support systems for sustainable energy. She also serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Applied Energy.
